GMAB, formerly Götaverken Miljö AB, is an engineering and contracting company. Since the mid-1980s, operations focused on flue gas cleaning/condensation. Our core products are flue gas cleaning and energy recovery through flue gas conditioning, often in combination with absorption heat pumps. Since the 1980s, GMAB has supplied flue gas treatment to about 50 combustion lines in Scandinavia, mostly for waste but also for biofuels. We have extensive experience and expertise in flue gas condensers of both scrubber type in fiberglass reinforced plastic and metallic condensers. GMAB is an innovative company, and has developed a range of unique technologies: ADIOX for dioxin removal, MercOx of mercury removal and Sulfur Recirculation for reducing boiler high temperature corrosion and dioxin formation in Waste to Energy plants.
Role in Bio-FlexCLC:
The Bio-FlexCLC project includes demonstrating CO2 cleaning and liquefaction necessary for carbon dioxide transportation, storage and utilization. A portable gas cleaning and CO2 liquefaction pilot facility provided by RISE will used in the project. RISE and GMAB will modify the gas cleaning steps of the existing pilot based on the unique flue gas compositions resulting from the experimental CLC-CFB operations in the project. After modification, the pilot facility will be situated downstream of the 1 MW unit at TUDA to demonstrate the comprehensive Bio-FlexCLC system, encompassing gas cleaning and CO2 liquefaction.
